In the summer of 2010, Reilly Family travel grants were awarded to first grade teacher Julie Rodowsky and instrumental music teacher Christopher Verry (first row left above). Julie and Chris participated in a 12-day tour of China, led by renowned University of Delaware violinist Xiang Gao, who has performed at Friends, and his wife Renee Dong, who teaches Chinese at UD. The tour highlighted history and culture--with an emphasis on music, of course--and included visits to Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, and Suzhou. The Reilly Family Endowment Fund was established in 2006 to support international learning and travel for Friends School faculty.
