Kindergarten Animal Study

In a cross-curricular unit, WFS kindergarten students researched an animal of their choosing.
They explored non-fiction books in the library as well as the classroom and learned how to navigate a database using PebbleGo (a curricular content hub specifically designed for K-2 students). They created sketch notes, which is the first note-taking method we use for our younger students. Students then drew a picture of their animal in the computer lab using Paintbrush. Using a computer mouse to draw is very challenging, but they stepped up to the task and created wonderful vibrant pictures of their animal in its habitat. Next, they recorded facts they had learned using an app that allows their animal to “talk.” Click here to check out the videos they recorded!
