7th Graders Travel to Washington, D.C.

7th graders spent the day in Washington, D.C., connecting classroom learning to real-world history.
The group began at the National Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism, reflecting on the courage and resilience of Japanese Americans during World War II. They then visited the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where students deepened their understanding of the human stories and lessons behind one of history’s most profound tragedies.

After lunch at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, students explored the National Mall, visiting landmarks such as the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial—culminating with a group photo to commemorate a meaningful day of learning, reflection, and connection.
