Wilmington, DE is a vibrant and diverse community with rich arts, museums, sports, recreation, dining, tax-free shopping, and entertainment opportunities. With many different neighborhoods, there is something for everyone. Wilmington Friends school is located within the beautiful, picturesque neighborhood of Alapocas, steps away from Alapocas Run State Park.  While the majority of our families and employees live in Wilmington, many live in other towns in Delaware or in neighboring Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Wilmington is about 20 miles south of the Philadelphia International Airport. Additionally, located off of I-95, Wilmington is easily accessible to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, DC, and New York City.
