In honor of Valentine's Day, a few "alumni sweethearts" who met when they were students at WFS have shared their stories with us. Enjoy!

How did you meet?
We got to know each other in detention and the cafeteria.

Where do you both live now?
Wilmington, DE.

What do you both miss about WFS?
Seeing good friends every day.

What is a fun fact about your relationship?
We had our first child, Heidi, in August of 2021.

How did you meet?
The ”150’s Hallway” at WFS.
 
Where do you both live now? 
Wilmington, DE.
 
What do you both miss about WFS? 
Teenage years.
 
What is a fun fact about your relationship?  
We have been together way longer than not.


Margo Hoff Pennock ’74 and
Jonathan Pennock ’74

How did you meet?
In math class (IPI) in 7th grade when we were assigned seats next to each other.

Where do you both live now?
Chesapeake City, MD.

What do you both miss about WFS?
Friendships, though we keep in touch with a number of classmates. We've been able to attend every 5-year reunion since we graduated!

What is a fun fact about your relationship?
When the boys and girls from our class were lined up according to height to walk into graduation, we ended up walking in next to one another!

How did you meet?
We started talking in the halls because we both had 1979 Formula Firebird cars - Steve sent me a pink carnation in homeroom on Valentine's Day.

Where do you both live now?
Avondale, PA.

What do you both miss about WFS?
We miss the friends we made and the carefree days!

What is a fun fact about your relationship?
We still love all the same things and have a ton in common! Celebrated our 36th anniversary.

Dancing class.

Where do you both live now?
Together in Philadelphia.

What do you both miss about WFS?
A few excellent teachers.

What is a fun fact about your relationship?
How long it has been!
 
Carol Mumford Osbun ’66 and
Ben Osbun ’66

How did you meet?
We first met in the 7th grade.

Where do you both live now?
On Edgewood Road behind the WFS athletic fields.

What do you both miss about WFS?
Our classmates.

What is a fun fact about your relationship?
It began with Junior Prom when we were in 9th grade.
