Congratulations to the WFS Class of 2023, who will travel as far as Arizona and Florida and stay as close as Wilmington for their next adventures!
As Head of School Ken Aldridge said at last week's Final Assembly, "What you thought in September 2019 was going to be a typical high school experience quickly turned into anything but typical. As a class, you showed us what you were capable of – adapting, growing, changing; showing flexibility, understanding, and kindness. I’m proud to be here with you, now on the other side, knowing that what you learned the last four years extends far beyond the classroom. You learned you can do hard things. You learned that you can and you will persevere. What you accomplished is proof that the best is yet to come."
Kindergarten students recently listened to a read-aloud of "The Skin You Live In" by Michael Tyler and explored the diversity and the variety of skin tones of the children in the story before creating their own self-portraits!
