Meryl Gatti ’15 currently serves as an Entity Management Product Trainer for CSC.
“Throughout my 14 years at WFS, I learned the power and importance of community. The school and faculty had a way of making all students feel seen, heard, welcome and supported. I always felt safe being myself and using my voice as we were always encouraged to do so. Being a part of such a strong community is a beautiful thing.”
Meryl Gatti ’15 graduated from the University of Delaware in 2019 where she majored in Mass Communications and Media Studies. During her four years in Newark, she was a member of the Club Field Hockey team and interned at the following places: Social Stylate, Breakwater Accounting + Advisory Corp, and the Jones House at Wilmington Friends. Upon graduation, Meryl began working at CSC where she just completed her fourth year and received a promotion. Currently, she serves as an Entity Management Product Trainer.
Seeking a creative outlet outside of her work at CSC, Meryl launched The House of StellaMer last spring offering full-service floral design. As Meryl notes, “I grew up watching my Mom create the most beautiful and thoughtful floral creations for family, friends, and eventually, through her own business. I remember watching her work with such passion and joy and thought it was amazing she was doing what made her happiest for work!”
Meryl and Stacy, who served as the Special Events Coordinator at WFS for seven years, will be providing the centerpieces for many of our Homecoming festivities this weekend. Reflecting on what she enjoys most about working with her mother, Meryl states, “Getting to work with my mom has been such a special experience. We’re very similar and it has been such a joy getting to bond over our love and passion for flowers and floral design. She is the most creative and talented person I know, so it’s been the coolest experience to really watch her in her element and learn from her.”
During her time at Wilmington Friends, Meryl was an All-State athlete who competed for the Quakers in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. She also was a member of Link Crew and Spirit Crew.
Thank you, Meryl and Stacy, for your incredible creations!
Kindergartners visited Ramsey's Farm! Students engaged in five stations–– enjoying a hayride, feeding the cows and goats (and steering clear of pecky chickens!), picking pumpkins, navigating a corn maze, and playing on the combine playground. We love getting out into the fresh air for hands-on learning!
Upper schoolers learned about the School Year Abroad (SYA) program at WFS, hearing from a representative from SYA along with Rose Mulveny ’26 and Abbie Thurlow ’26 who participated in the program last year.
8th graders enjoyed Fright Night, a fun event in the WFS Library Learning Commons featuring pizza and snacks along with one scary and one not-so-scary movie!
During our recent professional development day, faculty and staff had time to participate in an activity to have fun and connect with colleagues. Choices included forest bathing; AIKIDO; pickle ball; volleyball; Meet and Greet; and Read and Relax. Here are photos from "Walk and Connect" in the neighborhood and Alapocas Woods.

Lower School Spanish teacher Lara Munch spent her sabbatical exploring the intersection of culture, history, and language—both within the United States and abroad.
Middle School Spanish teacher Laura Jersild Pardo ’90 explored nature and the brain in a de-natured culture, asking how embodied, real-world experiences shape mental health, creativity, and problem-solving.
On the evening of Friday, October 3, more than 200 guests gathered in the Library Learning Commons for a night of community, music, and recognition. Guests enjoyed dinner and a lively performance from the Upper School Jazz Band. The program then turned to celebrating this year’s alumni honorees, who all let their lives speak in their own ways.
