IBHL visual art and art major students enjoyed learning from Bruno Yeh ’22 this week!
Bruno, currently enrolled in the School of Architecture at Syracuse University, spoke with the class about his decision to major in architecture, his most recent experience serving as an intern at KGD Architecture in Washington, D.C., and gave them their next assignment to work on called the Unrolled Cube Project.
Over the next three weeks, IBHL visual art and art major students will learn to visualize 3D forms in a 2D format, practice the use of rule sets and parameters to guide their design work and hone essential model-making skills and craftsmanship. They will also learn that iteration and trial and error are integral to the building process.

During a recent middle school Forest Time (Shinrin-yoku) experience, students embraced learning and reflection in the woods following a light dusting of snow.

After our annual “The Thing in the Gym” celebration, seniors and their first-grade buddies connected by playing games, sharing holiday plans, and creating festive cards together. These moments highlight the special cross-grade relationships that are a part of life at Wilmington Friends School.
The 8th grade choir traveled to Kendal-Crosslands to spread holiday cheer through music! Singing for the residents of both communities, the student musicians enjoyed sharing their talents and celebrating the holiday season with this special group.
