Stewardship Week in the Upper School

It was Stewardship Week in the upper school, led by the Fridays For Future Eco Team!
The community welcomed guest speaker Marissa McClenton, Environmental Justice Associate Organizer with the Sierra Club, who spoke about environmental justice and the importance of local action. Students participated in a variety of service opportunities, volunteering for clean-up projects along the Stewardship Trail, the lower school outdoor classroom, and in the inner courtyard. A bake sale added a sweet touch, with all proceeds supporting climate initiatives. The week culminated in Power Down Day, working together to minimize energy use by keeping computers in lockers and creating lessons that used minimal technology and paper. It was a meaningful week of community, reflection, and action toward a more sustainable future.
