IB and Visual Arts Major Students Travel to NYC

Group 6 International Baccalaureate (IB) and Visual Arts Major students traveled to New York City for their annual field trip!
The day began at Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Guggenheim Museum, where students explored Rashid Johnson’s work before heading to the Museum of Modern Art to conduct research for their self-directed projects. IB Music students also immersed themselves in the arts, visiting The Museum of Broadway, an interactive, experiential space that celebrates Broadway’s rich history, behind-the-scenes craft, and the innovators who have shaped the stage.

The whole group reunited at the end of the day to take in the Broadway show Operation Mincemeat—a comedic retelling of a true British tactical maneuver during WWII. Trip highlights included seeing Van Gogh’s The Starry Night up close, walking the vibrant streets of NYC, enjoying meals in the Big Apple, and experiencing a live performance in a quirky Broadway theater.
