Through games, challenges, and shared experiences, students step outside their comfort zones and into their “stretch zones” where real learning and growth happen. Ultimately, our middle schoolers build the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive community helping them grow as a collective grade.

 

As Head of Middle School Jon Huxtable notes, “Bonding Day is elemental to our middle school program. It is a day we dedicate to the work of building and fostering a sense of community within advisory groups, within grade levels, and within the school community. We know the environment matters when learning. This day represents the intention of setting and enriching the kind of environment we know will invite growth, development, and transformation. In fact, it is the work of the entire school year; it’s just that we accelerate that effort on Bonding Day with joy, enthusiasm, and purpose.”
