Lower Schoolers Learn About Diwali

Lower schoolers learn about Diwali!
Friends parent Vishal Patel, gave an overview of Diwali, explaining that it is known as the Festival of Lights and emphasizing the theme of light over darkness, and challenged students to think about ways to bring light to the community.

Students and teachers then put on a mini-fashion show in traditional clothing, before Veera P. ’34 performed a spectacular Bollywood dance routine for the crowd. Lastly, every student was given a small sheet of paper to compose one act of kindness that they can do for someone else in their class this week.

Thank you, Mr. Patel, for joining us and sharing a little bit about Diwali and its significance.
