WFS Upper School Students Engage in Service, Growth, and Senior Bonding Traditions

Last week, WFS 9th through 11th graders participated in a day of service, volunteering at Delaware organizations from the New Castle County Hope Center to Friendship House Clothing Bank, and also helping to clean and prepare the WFS garden and greenhouse.
In the afternoon, students shifted to grade-level programming. 9th graders began a year-long workshop series with Child Clinical Psychologist Dr. Cami Winkelspecht, focusing on building confidence, developing academic strategies, and promoting personal growth. 10th and 11th graders worked with college counselors Rose Gnade and Kathleen Martin on grade-specific college guidance, covering everything from GPA and courses to standardized testing, activities, and the admissions timeline.

The Class of 2026 enjoyed their annual Senior Bonding Day at the beach, spending time together as a class playing spike ball, swimming, and celebrating the start of their senior year.
