At WFS, IB Biology HL is a two-year sequence that takes a deep molecular approach to understanding life — from cell structure and energetics to genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology. Across both years, students move beyond content knowledge, engaging in labs that require them to design, carry out, and interpret their own experiments while strengthening the technical writing and analytical skills expected in advanced scientific study. This inquiry-driven program prepares students to access, evaluate, and use scientific research confidently as they build an integrated understanding of the living world.
