ASP Celebrates Creativity, Celebration, and Community

Over winter break, the Wilmington Friends After-School Program hosted three festive days of child care filled with creativity, celebration, and community.
Students took part in a gingerbread-making contest, made homemade candles, and danced their way into the New Year with a balloon drop celebration. A special visit from Lia Andrews of Language University added a multicultural dimension, as students enjoyed hot chocolate, decorated gingerbread cookies and explored global games through puppetry and imaginative play.

The Wilmington Friends After-School Program (ASP) and Child Care offerings provide families with flexible, enriching options throughout the school year and during school breaks. Designed for students from preschool through sixth grade, the program balances structured activities with free play, homework support, arts, movement, and special programming—while also offering all-day child care during many school vacations and conference times. Across age groups and campuses, ASP creates a safe, engaging environment where students can learn, play, and connect beyond the school day.
