First-year IBHL Visual Arts and Visual Art Major students are working on their first major project of the 2026-27 school year.
Over the summer, students each studied an art movement of their choice, identifying the formal and conceptual characteristics that define its visual language. After spending time drawing a chair from observation in the classroom, they were asked to reinterpret the chair through the lens of a particular artist associated with their chosen movement from the summer.
This Visual Arts HL course is intended for highly motivated students who are seriously interested in the study of visual art. First-year students are introduced to a variety of techniques and media and begin developing independent study and research habits, including maintaining a visual arts journal.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Saturday’s Home & School Back-to-School Picnic, and to the volunteers who made it possible! From bouncy houses to face painting and dance parties, the afternoon was filled with laughter and joy.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, we officially celebrated the opening of our reimagined lower school campus! Guests gathered in the lobby and checked out the beautiful panda donor wall.
HL IB Biology year two students used CRISPR/Cas9 technology in their latest gene knockout lab to disrupt a gene in bacteria and observe a phenotypic change as a result.
The library was jam-packed with students this morning during the annual upper school Clubs and Committees Fair! During the fair, students have forty minutes to learn about the numerous clubs and committees on campus (we had over 50 during last school year).
Congratulations to Ronny Berry ’27 on winning the Delaware Online Football Athlete of the Week for his excellent performance last week against Delmar. Berry intercepted two passes, returned one for a touchdown, gained 89 total yards of offense, and caught a touchdown pass.
