34 Upper Schoolers Compete in National AMC 10 & 12

Congratulations Friends Mathletes!
Thirty-four upper schoolers participated in the national American Mathematics Competition (AMC 10 & AMC 12), putting their advanced quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills to the test.

Administered by the Mathematical Association of America, the AMC is a rigorous, timed 75-minute, 25-question evaluation that challenges students beyond standard classroom curricula—spanning advanced algebra, geometry, number theory, and trigonometry. Beyond measuring mathematical proficiency, the competition serves as the national gateway toward qualifying for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
At Wilmington Friends School, fostering intellectual ambition and deep inquiry is central to our academic mission. We congratulate these 34 students for taking on this high-level challenge.
