Visitors from Kalmar, Sweden

WFS is again hosting students from the city of Kalmar, Sweden. Kalmar is Wilmington's sister city, a "broad-based, long-term partnership between two communities in two countries." (sistercities.org)
Currently, seven students from Kalmar are staying with WFS families and shadowing students for several days. WFS students will travel to Kalmar in June to visit with the students and their families.

WFS students and Kalmar students visited with Wilmington mayor Mike Purzycki and county executive Matt Meyer '90, who took part in the exchange when he was a student at WFS! Kalmar students also participated in a Lunch and Learn with upper school students. This is a great opportunity for WFS students to learn from a different perspective in the world.
