Learning About School Year Abroad

This morning, we welcomed School Year Abroad (SYA) Admissions Officers to WFS as they visited our 9th and 10th grade students.

In their presentation, they discussed the positive impact that SYA can have on high school juniors and seniors as it gives students the opportunity to live in another country (France, Italy, and Spain) with host families, immerse themselves in an entirely different culture and language, and continue their high-level academic courses.

Following their presentation, Greta Munch ’25 discussed her experience as a SYA student during the 2022-23 school year where she studied in Zaragoza, Spain. Reflecting on her tremendous experience last year, Greta noted that she is still close with her host family and spoke to them after class on Monday! Currently, Lily Zawadzkas ’25 is studying in Rennes, France.
