Practicing Quakers Visit 10th-Grade Students

Mrs. Hegenbarth’s 10th-grade Quakerism class recently welcomed a panel of practicing Quakers for a meaningful conversation and shared reflection.

Panelists shared their personal journeys to Quakerism, what being a Quaker means in their daily lives, and why Meeting for Worship has been a powerful and grounding space for them. Students listened closely, asked thoughtful questions, and explored the wide range of beliefs within the Quaker tradition.
 
Reflecting on the experience, Mrs. Hegenbarth noted that student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing how impactful it was to hear diverse perspectives and stories—and to see how differences are welcomed within the Quaker community. The exchange proved meaningful for both students and visitors alike, highlighting the depth of student curiosity and the value of shared dialogue.
