Raphael Dagold’s Poems Published in Hungarian Translation

Four poems by WFS upper school English teacher Raphael Dagold were recently published in Hungarian translation in an online literary journal.
This opportunity began when Dagold met Hungarian-American writer and translator Timea Sipos during a fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center. Sipos later asked to share some of his poems with her advanced adult students in an online literary translation course focused on rendering contemporary American poetry into Hungarian. The students selected and translated Dagold’s work — and even invited him to join their class via Zoom to discuss the process.

We’re thrilled to celebrate this international recognition of his writing!
