Upper School Students Explore Art and Performance on Washington, D.C. Research Trip

Upper school Power and Performance English classes, IB Higher Level Visual Arts students, and Visual Art Majors traveled to Washington, D.C., for a research field trip.
Students attended a performance at the Folger Shakespeare Library and Theater of "As You Like It," envisioned by Artistic Director Karen Ann Daniels and directed by Timothy Douglas, before exploring contemporary works at the Hirshhorn Museum and the National Gallery of Art on the National Mall. Through theater, visual art, and research, students deepened their understanding of performance, creativity, and artistic expression in one of the country’s most vibrant cultural hubs.
