Two Seniors Shadow WFS Faculty Members for Their Senior Exploration Projects
Daniela Cristanetti-Walker ’26 and Annabelle Huxtable ’26 spent their Senior Explorations learning from and observing two WFS faculty members!
Daniela shadowed lower school science teacher Tim Dalby. She noted, "During my time shadowing Teacher Tim in the lower school sciences, I learned a lot about patience and that different kids sometimes need different explanations. The thing I enjoyed the most was helping the kids with projects I remember doing myself at their age, as it brought back lots of memories!"
Annabelle spent time with lower school counselor Ginnie Jones. Reflecting on her experience, she stated, "During my time in the lower school with Teacher Ginnie, I got to see what it is like as a lower school counselor. Between meetings and helping other younger-year teachers, I learned that every student is different, and they have an entire support team helping them and figuring out next steps! I loved being back in the lower school and having the opportunity to work with an amazing mentor for a job I could possibly see myself having in the future!"
On Thursday, members of the Class of 2026 will share the Senior Exploration projects they have been working on throughout the past month with one another and the community.
Senior Exploration gives seniors the opportunity to integrate and apply the skills and knowledge they have developed at WFS through authentic, in-depth experiences. Guided by a personal question, students pursue meaningful opportunities that challenge them to reflect on their growth, interests, and future aspirations.
Lower school faculty, staff, and students celebrated the 5th grade class as they made one final walk through the halls this morning before entering the Meeting Room for gathering.
Middle school students enjoyed their last day by sharing appreciations, performing at the annual talent show, watching the 8th grade celebration video, and spending time with friends!
8th grade students explored tower design as part of their Innovative Architecture unit with Mr. Machado. Students learned about the history of towers, structural awareness, sustainable use of resources, and community oriented design.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are so proud of all you have accomplished during your time at Wilmington Friends School and can't wait to see where your journeys take you next.
From Taco Tuesday at home to a special lunch at La Tolteca, first graders celebrated their study of Mexico with delicious foods, new vocabulary, and lots of smiles!
Congratulations to our middle school band and choir on their outstanding performances at last week's Music in the Parks competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania!
Middle and upper school students enjoyed ice cream and time with friends during yesterday’s 2025-2026 yearbook distribution! The countdown to summer is officially on!
