First Graders "Apply" for Classroom Jobs!
FIRST GRADERS “APPLY" FOR CLASS JOBS! While learning all about community, combining reading, writing, math, and social studies, first graders filled out job applications for classroom jobs, ranging from line leader to pencil sharpener.
FIRST GRADERS “APPLY" FOR CLASS JOBS! While learning all about community, combining reading, writing, math, and social studies, first graders filled out job applications for classroom jobs, ranging from line leader to pencil sharpener. The class collectively reviewed each application and discussed why the student would be a good candidate for the job. They respectfully shared their concerns and decided how to move forward, sharing their results with the candidate (which is what you'll hear in this video). After all the positions are filled, first graders start their jobs!

Environmental Science Students Build Algae Farms
Upper school environmental science students built model carbon capture algae farms as part of their study of climate change mitigation. They developed ways to measure algae growth using microscopes and a spectrophotometer.Read More -
