Home & School Used Book Sale a Huge Success!
Thank you to all who came out and supported the Home & School Used Book Sale!
Over 45 volunteers - adults and students alike - moved, sorted, and sold books, games, magazines, CDs and DVDs - and had a great time in the process. The hot item for shoppers...Life magazines! Who knew? This year's sale saw 70 percent more revenue than last year.
Our community was so generous in donating their used books that we were able to donate boxes of unsold books to Read Aloud Delaware, The Boys and Girls Club of Delaware, Kuumba Academy, Ministry of Caring, Jennie Smith Elementary School, and the Claymont Senior Center. We hope to expand this list next year to get more books in our local community.

Environmental Science Students Build Algae Farms
Upper school environmental science students built model carbon capture algae farms as part of their study of climate change mitigation. They developed ways to measure algae growth using microscopes and a spectrophotometer.Read More -
