State Championship Bound!

The WFS field hockey team defeated Archmere Academy 4–0 in the DIAA Division II State Semifinals on Sunday afternoon!
Tied 0–0 at halftime, the WFS offense erupted in the second half, scoring twice in both the third and fourth quarters. Molly Dolan ’26 opened the scoring seven minutes into the third, finishing a pass from Sara Clothier ’26. Just 80 seconds later, Maeve Erickson ’28 added an unassisted goal to give the Quakers a 2–0 lead. In the fourth quarter, Dolan struck twice more to complete her hat trick—her second unassisted, and her third off an assist from Lila Rubano ’26.

Defensively, the Quakers once again proved their dominance, limiting the Auks to just four shots on goal and three penalty corners en route to their 11th shutout of the season. Anna Weiner ’26 was outstanding in goal, stopping all four shots she faced.

The top-seeded Quakers advance to the Division II State Championship, where they’ll face #3 Newark Charter on Friday, November 7, at 4:00 p.m. at Rullo Stadium.
