How Music Shapes the WFS Experience: A Conversation with Chris Verry

“It is my hope that when families think about the role of music at Wilmington Friends, they think far past just the entertainment factor of the performance, but all of the influences that music has on their child’s complete education.”
On the latest episode of the Quaker Matters podcast, longtime Wilmington Friends School Director of Bands and Performing Arts teacher Chris Verry reflects on his time at WFS. He discusses supporting students from their first musical experiences in lower school through upper school, how playing in the band helps students build confidence, and why the annual Homecoming performance is one of his favorite traditions.
