Environmental Science Students Conduct Biological and Chemical Surveys

Environmental Science students are conducting biological and chemical surveys at Alapocas Run State Park to assess the ecosystem's health.
Although they have not fully analyzed their data yet, early results have identified pollution-sensitive macroinvertebrate species, which helps indicate water quality.

Throughout the year, environmental science students are introduced to the idea of the Earth as an interrelated system, highlighting the diverse options and complexity of solving our current environmental problems. The course is also designed to help students consider and clarify their own environmental value system.
