Our incoming sixth graders and new middle school students were shown around campus today by eighth grade WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) leaders.
New students got to see where their classes will be and talked about tips and tricks for maneuvering the middle/upper school campus, while their parents and guardians also participated in an orientation. We can't wait to see all our middle school students next week! #QuakerMatters #WFSmiddleschool #wfscommunity
Ninth graders recently met with Abdi Nor Iftin, author of their summer reading book, Call Me American, which depicts Abdi's life in Somalia and his curiosity about Western culture, which ultimately became dangerous and led to him fleeing the country.
Thank you to Gregg Behr and Ryan Rydzewski, authors of the book When you Wonder, You're Learning: Mister Rogers' Enduring Lessons for Raising Creative, Curious, Caring Kids, for their wonderful presentation last week to our school community!
During the 2021-2022 school year, our community is reflecting on the Quaker SPICE of peace, challenging our students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff to think about peace on both a community and a personal level.
