GLOW DAY Math Review

What a cool way for sixth graders to review for their math test! Students received special invitations to GLOW DAY and were asked to wear white or neon clothes.
When they arrived to class, they could not go into their room until they each picked playing cards to form random small groups. When their teacher opened the door they saw the room lit only by UV light and activity stations glowing with neon colors! They then travelled through five stations: Rock or Roll, Plinko, Slip and Slide, Glow in the Dark Jenga, and a workbook station. Each activity required a bit of luck and a lot of work solving problems about order of operations, squares and cubes, Greatest Common Factor, and Least Common Multiple. Fun was had by all but perhaps Mrs. Hegenbarth had the most fun since she got to participate multiple times!
